Berz, Marvin S. 85; beloved husband of the late Sydney Price Berz, loving father of David (Sherry), Neal (Linda) and the late Michael Berz, cherished grandfather of Douglas, Alexander, Sarah, Micaela and Charlie, dear brother of the late Joseph, Ann, Eileen, Abe, Albert, and David. Marvin served in WWII as an officer in the Army Air Corps. After graduating from DePaul University, he was a member of the law firm of Schwartz & Cooper. He also served as general counsel and in other senior executive positions at Mercantile Financial Corporation before returning to private practice. Marvin was an adoring husband, wonderful father and caring friend. He will be missed and his memory cherished. Funeral service 12 Noon, Monday at Temple Sholom, 3480 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago. Interment Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blind Service Association, 17 N.
