Rathunde, Margaret M. "Marge" Age 72, of Antioch, IL, formerly Richmond, passed away peacefully Friday, December 8, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Evanston, Illinois on July 7, 1945, a daughter of the late Denis and Lora (Coram) McCarthy. She was a graduate of Maine East High School of Park Ridge, IL in 1963. She was married to Paul Rathunde Jr. on July 19, 1963, in Asheville, NC and he passed away February 27, 1996. She was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Antioch, IL and served on the church council for several years. She was employed all of her adult life, most recently as an office manager at Bearly Friends in Lake Bluff, IL, for more than ten years, retiring in 2011. She was a member of Irish American Heritage Center, a 20-year volunteer at Milwaukee Irish Fest, served as Den Mother and treasurer of Cub Scout Pack 349. Marge is survived by two sons, Kevin (Kelly) Rathunde, of Carbondale, IL, Christopher (Cynthia) Rathunde, of Chicago, IL; 11 beloved grandchildren; and two cherished great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Pat) McCarthy and Robert "Buzz" Sazma. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, 10011 Main St., Richmond. Funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 1155 Hillside Ave. in Antioch with Rev. Rebecca Gordon officiating. Private inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Richmond, IL at a later date. Memorials to Pancreatic Cancer Research, 675 N. St. Clair, Suite 17-200, Chicago, IL 60611 or Susan G.
