Beggan, Margaret E. "Peggy" Gibbons (nee McLaughlin) Beloved wife of the late Stephen Gibbons, Native of Co. Mayo and the late James Beggan, Native of Co. Antrim, Ireland; loving mother of Sheila (Joe "Mac") Harris, Kevin, Barbara (Austin) Hester, Patrick (Kathleen), Margaret and the late Stephen; proud grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 15; dear sister of the late Mary (Timothy) O'Connor, Catherine (Cyril "Mac") McNamee, Anna Marie "Nancy" (Patrick) Gavin; fond aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt of many. Peggy lived a rich and full life full of laughter and music. She enjoyed her years at Bell Telephone, Elmhurst Clinic, time spent as a CPD Crossing guard, Senior Center Volunteer and especially time spent with the St. Francis Xavier Parish Liturgical and Musical groups. Peggy was a member of the Westside Ulster Club and always loved to spend time singing and dancing to Irish traditional music. Visitation Sunday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, ( 1/2 mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Friends and family will meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10:00 a.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 124 North Spring, (At Ogden), LaGrange. Hard to believe 4 years has passed. Thinking about her now, I simply recall being a fixture at the Gibbons' house and underfoot with Steve and Pat. Think I spent more time on LeClaire with you guys than I did on Leamington. God rest your Mom.
