Sister Madeleine Adamczyk SSJ-TOSF, Ph.D., Sister Madeleine, Author, Lecturer, Asst. Supervisor of Schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago, College Professor, Administrator, Teacher, College Dean, Religious Provincial of her congregation, ended a long career of service to others when she passed into eternal life on December 26, 2001, suffering a heart attack. Sister had been in ill health for quite sometime. Sister Madeleine was preceded in death by her parents, Helen (Harenda) and Stanley. Her brothers, Anthony and John and sister, Josephine survive as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were three other brothers and five sisters and the Sisters of St. Joseph, TOSF with whom she shared 70 years of her life. Friends will be received at 3:30 p.m., on Friday, December 28, 2001, at the Sacred Heart Chapel of Immaculata Convent, 801 W. Bartlett Rd., Bartlett, IL ( mile E. of Rt. 59 & West Bartlett Rd.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on December 29, 2001, at 10:30 a.m., in the Sacred Heart Chapel. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Palatine, IL, following the Mass.
