Sava, Lorraine V. (nee Jackowiak) 84, formerly of Bridgeport, joins her late husband of 56 years, Paul, in Heaven. Loving mother to Janice Goldsmith, Mark (Sandra), Joyce of St. Mary of Providence, Nancy (Eddie) Kelly, Paula (Tim) Banks; Loving Gramma to Rick and Liz Goldsmith, Mary Caitlyn and Danny Kelly, and Annie and Alissa Banks; sister to Esther (the late Eugene) Szulczewski, the late Leonard (the late Margaret) Jackowiak and Genevieve (the late Ronald) Youdelis; sister-in-law to Mildred (Robert) Nowicki and the late Walter (Lorraine P.) Sava; Loving aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many; "Adopted mom" to those who needed her. She leaves behind many dear friends, old and new. Because Alzheimer's affected people she loved, Lorraine participated in research studies and donated her healthy brain to Rush Alzheimer's Research Program. A St. Mary of Providence Parent's Club member; Vice President and "Sunshine Lady" of Archbishop Quigley Senior Club; member of St. Jane de Chantal Senior Club; member of Bridgeport Allie-ettes. An avid reader of humor & romance novels and 3 daily newspapers; number search and crossword enthusiast; unofficial Jeopardy champ. Lorraine enjoyed flowers throughout her earthly life. Archer Ave. (corner of Natoma). Rather than the funeral home meet directly at church for Funeral Wednesday a with lie in state 9am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 8404 S.
