Svaniga, Lora J. Passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Age 87. Survived by her sister, Ladonna (Don) Crossland; four nephews, Dean (Patty), David and Dale (Dane) Crossland, John Hoelscher; two nieces, Laura Hoelscher and Dawn Hennig. Several great-nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Libby Svaniga and a sister, Lois A. Hoelscher. Owner of the L.J. Svaniga Court Reporting Business. Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road, Joliet, Illinois, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lora's name to Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated. Visitation Friday will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. For information, chsfuneral.com.

So I will never forget Laura. She hired me as a new court reporter back in 1976 while I was finishing up reporting school. She trained me well. May Laura now Rest in Peace after having touched so many lives in so many special ways!!
