Mines, LG "Jim" 79, U.S. Army veteran, passed away May 8, 2015. Married to the former Vernestra Hopkins Mines Forest Park, IL; father to Therese (Dallis) Anderson, Summit, IL; grandfather to Daylan; brother to Katie Roberson of Wichita, KS, Charlotte (Freeman) Banks of Chicago, Muhammad Shamshid Deen of Riverside, CA, and Roy (Eula) Mines of Chicago. A no-nonsense guy who loved to bowl, fish, hunt and help people, especially seniors. LG retired after 25 years as a cement truck driver and Teamster for Material Services Corp Chicago. He returned to Mississippi for health reasons in 1989, and pursued his boyhood dream of farming. Private services and burial will be held in Lexington, Mississippi.
