I miss you so much Aunt Kathleen. I still go to pick up the phone and call you; see your name in my facebook list and want to see what you've been to; see your emails in my non deleted emails and then remember, we just can't communicate that way anymore. I do feel your presence though and think I always will. You will always be in my heart! Love you! Give Mom a great big hug and kiss for me, will you? xxxooo Love, your God daughter, Donna

She was my first grade teacher. We shared the same name, so I felt very special. She taught me to have a neat desk, give free back rubs and dandelions, and to love life fully.

As I read the other messages here, I see something common in all of them.
Aunt Kathleen lived her life with the purpose of pleasing others. It wasn't about money, or selfish desires we let dictate a path in life. No , Aunt Kathleens desires were to live a life putting God first, others second , and always putting herself third. A woman who truly would rather give than to receive. How inspiring she has been to all of us.
Many times over the years Aunt Kathleen would tell me over and over how proud she was of me and my accomplishments . Aunt Kathleen , if We all could be a fraction of the human you were and live our lives using you as an example, what a great world this would be. It's you who we are all proud of and so extremely blessed to have had you as part of our life. Love you and will miss you.

Katie was a very special lady who touched the lives of so many people. She was the number one reason we sent our daughter to St. Jude's . She was that special teacher who taught with love, kindness, and humor. Children gravitated to her. They adored her.
God has gained another angel. She will always be with us in our memories and in our hearts.
Our love, thoughts and prayers are with her family and close friends at this time.

What about Katie is there NOT to love? Everyone meeting Katie felt her caring and loving manner. Katie and I met in 1961 and connected immediately and became the best of friends. I was pleased to know her parents, his sister Marilyn, and her brothers, Jim and John.
Katie showed us how to live by enjoying every minute and caring and loving others. Katie showed us how to struggle for life as she fought cancer for 5 years. She fought the good fight! Katie showed us how to die, gracefully and with love and care for others.
I am glad that Katie's brother, Jim, was with her when she died, holding her hand as she crossed over to the Arms of the Father. Although I am not able to attend the funeral, I will be "holding her hand" in my heart at the that time on Friday. My comfort and prayers for the family.
I love you Katie! Margaret Frausto (Michel)

Katie was part of our family from the day we became neighbors 26 years ago. We were honored to have her teach both of our girls and to remain in their lives until she went home to be with the Lord. Katie was always and in all ways their for each member of our family at different times and different stages of our lives. Katie had an infectious smile and shared such wisdom with us. We will always remember that Donald Duck voice that made us laugh every time she she used it. We were blessed as a family to share many holidays, birthdays and special events in our lives with Katie. We are blessed to know we now have a special angel looking over us- you will be forever loved and missed.

I couldn't have asked for a better first grade teacher than Ms. Dunne. She inspired anyone who had the pleasure of being in her company through laughter. I'll always remember you Ms. Dunne. Thank you for everything you taught me. I miss you already.

Katie Dunn was one of the most caring, loving, and funniest people that I was honored to know! Her sense of humor both children and Parents emulated to! She always had a smile on her face! The thing I remember most is picking my children up from school and when all the kids would see their parents they would run out of line to go to them but Katie's line would stay in formation until every child would hug her leg to get their goodbyes from Katie! This was every day!!!!! My children and I will simply remember her as their favorite teacher who touched their lives with not her knowledge but something much more important, her love and laughter! My kids and I will always remember her with her greatest gift,"her smile!"
