Joe will be remembered by so many. He was the MAIN man in the Mooseyard St. Paddy's Day Parade for many years. It all started the night Joe came into our supper club stating the city of Shawano was not going to hold a parade where he was going to be the Grand Marshall...We decided to have a parade in the Mooseyard...31 years ago!...All because Joe needed an Irish parade. My condolences to his family in the passing of a dear man.

Condolences to Joe's family.
Joe will be fondly remembered at St Martin's parish in Cecil, WI, where Joe was a long time active member. I often sat next to him in the choir. Joe had a great sense of humor. He would always have you laughing. He was also a giving man. Joe helped with the distribution of food for our monthly food pantry. It was always exciting, listening to his stories from when he served as a proud Chicago policeman. For years, Joe was also the grand marshal in the Mooseyard St Patty's Day parade near Shawano Lake. He dyed his beard green and would be seen doing an Irish jig up and down Lake Drive, holding his Shillelagh. We all miss Joe.
God Bless Joe and his family,

My condolences to the Gleason family on their loss. I remember how Joe allowed me to go to Apple River Valley with him and Danny. Joe was one of the reason I became a police officer. I remember all the good times with Dan, Tim, Colleen and Kathleen from over 40 years ago when I lived across the street. He will be missed. My prayers are with you all.
