Herbert Sr., John P. Age 87, of Dolton, IL, passed away on August 20, 2016. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dolores (nee Fabrie); loving children, Linda (late Bruce) Catt, Sandra (Donald) Mitidiero, and John P. Herbert Jr.; fond grandchildren, Brian and Krista Catt, Nicholas, Michael and Melissa Mitidiero and Jessica (Vincent) Weiss; dear great-grandchildren, Bailey Catt, Russell and Dominic Weiss; and brother, Paul Herbert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice (nee Wisniewski) and Russell Herbert, and his brother, Stanley Ryskiewicz. John was a foreman at International Harvester for 35 years. He loved fishing, trips to Las Vegas, bingo, and most of all spending time with his family. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those who needed him. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Tuesday, August 23rd from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday 10:00 a.m. Chapel Prayers to St. Mary Queen of Apostles Church, 207 W. 145th St., Riverdale.
