Jim was a wonderful teammate during my many years at Florsheim Shoe Co. He was always positive and friendly with everyone. His sense of humor was second to none. I am sorry I did not know of his passing earlier. I know of no one who did not love Jim during our careers at Florsheim Shoe Co.

Jennifer, Sharon, Joan & Patrick-
I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of your Dad and Husband, and my family's true friend and neighbor. I have the best memories of Mr. Tunney (I'll never be able to call him anything else) during annual events like 4th of July, Halloween and Christmas/New Years. I used to love listening to him talk with the adults and the stories he told. To me he always seemed to have a little joke or trick up his sleeve-- he was the life of the party and we adored our times with you all. It makes me sad to think of your loss, please know that the entire Dowd family on earth and in heaven loved him and all of you very much.
Sincerely,
Cindy Pratte (Dowd)

Joan, Mrs. Tunney and family -- I just heard of Mr. Tunney's passing and I am truly sorry. I will always remember him as one of the friendliest dad's, always making small talk with me and making me feel important. I know you will miss him.

Tunney Family,
Dan and I just learned of Jim's passing this morning. We have so many happy memories of neighborhood gatherings and all the fun. There were always lots of laughs. Jim was responsible for many of them with his ever present sense of humor. You are all very lucky to have had and still have a close family that cares for each other. Jim was a very sweet man who we were always happy to see.

Tunney Family, we were saddened to learn of Jim's passing and we extend our heartfelt condolences to all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Mr. Tunney was a genuine and kind neighbor with a great sense of humor. The entire Tunney Family helped make Tanglewood a special neighborhood to raise a family and provided endless memories that I still treasure today.
