I worked with Dr. Zitman for more than 20 years at Social Security. processing disability claims . I worked with a wide range of physicians, psychologists, and psychiatrists. Hands down Dr. Ziitman was the birightest medical consultant I worked alongside. Conferring with Dr. Zitman on a case was an absolute pleasure since he had a Solomon ability to assess tthe totality of the claimant's impairments. He loved his golf and always looked 20 years younger than his actual age.. My condolences to his family.

My husband and I are truly saddened by the death of dear Dr. Zitman. He worked for me at Social Security for many years until I retired in 2002. He was kind, caring, thoughtful and just a wonderful human being. He helped me on many occasions with medical decisions I needed to make for myself. He was my best co-worker; not an employee. He kept urging me to go visit him in Palm Desert each winter and I am sorry I did not go. I will miss his gentleness. What a great human spirit! Sharon Pekoz and husband James
