Souta, Helen Agnes (nee Hruska) Age 90, a resident of Carillon in Plainfield, IL, formerly of Brookfield, IL 1957-2001, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at her home. She was born October 30, 1924 in Chicago, IL. Beloved wife of the late Jerry T. Souta, Sr., whom she married March 9, 1947 and who preceded her in death on September 10, 2005; loving mother of Helene Schaefer of Plainfield and Jerry (Mary) Souta of Tinley Park, IL; adored grandmother of Rebecca and Benjamin Schaefer; Timothy Justin and Darcy (Jason) Stingerie; cherished great-grandmother of Anastasia Tollard and Andrew Tihlarik; Madison Rose and twins, Olivia Ann and Evelyn Grace Stingerie; devoted daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (nee Bartak) Hruska; dear sister of the late Frank (Marian) Hruska; fond aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many. Helen grew up in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood and was a graduate of Farragut High School. She served as a Deacon and Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Brookfield, Brookfield, IL. Helen was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Naperville and was active in Bible studies at Carillon in Plainfield. She served as an officer in Ceska Beseda, a Czech social organization and Czechoslovak Society Of America, TA Edison Lodge, Lombard, IL. Helen was a delegate to Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago and Tabor Hills Bohemian Home for the Aged in Naperville. Visitation Thursday, October 8, 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. Additional Visitation Friday, October 9, 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville. A funeral service will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Clinton Roberts officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Future Inurnment: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
