Dietrich Sr., Frederick H. Age 79, U.S. Navy Veteran served during the Korean Conflict. Beloved husband of Mildred "Millie" (nee Hurd) for nearly 55 years; loving father of Cynthia (Russell) Whaler, Frederick H. Dietrich, Jr. (Janice Cotter) and Jacqueline (Michael) Giorgetti; cherished grandfather of Russell, Heather and Gianna; dear brother of Eleanor (the late James) Sheeran. Preceded in death by siblings, Richard (Clarice) Nelson, Lorraine (Elmer) Sonntag, Agnes (Martin) Brady, Frances McNamara, Marie and Ralph Nelson. Fond uncle, cousin and friend of many. Fred was a member of Marrs-Meyer American Legion post 991. Visitation Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 S. Harlem Ave., Worth. Lying in State Friday, August 1, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to time of Service 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church (111th and 76th Ave.), Worth. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery. Service Information 708-448-6000.

I am very sad to hear about Fred. He was one one of my favorite uncles, and going for a visit out to Worth was always fun. He will be dearly missed.
