Meade, Evelyn Age 91, of West Peoria, formerly of Cicero, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Evelyn was born on December 10, 1923 in Berwyn, IL to Gerald and Treasure Hinterman. She married Lonnie Meade on December 8, 1945 in Berwyn, IL and he preceded her in death on December 8, 1975. Surviving are her daughters, Alice (Mike) Racine of Peoria, IL and Barbara L. Meade; her sister, Mary Linabury; and her grandchildren, Laura Racine, Amy Robinson, James Boles, Danielle Johnson and Virginia Erickson. Evelyn was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Summit, IL and she enjoyed traveling and was an avid knitter. Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Stickney, IL. Arrangements were made through Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
