Burns, Bartley J. Age 80, born in Chicago September 16, 1931, passed away May 21, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Mary Jane (nee Hodgman); Loving father of Joellen (Steven) Muntz, Daniel Parra Burns, and the late Mary Jane Burns; Proud grandfather of Joellen (Ryan) Bailey, Jane Miller, Jacqueline Miller, Juliann Muntz, Jacob Muntz, and Matthew Muntz and great-grandfather of Harry Bailey; Loving son of the late Bartley and Dorothy Burns. Dear brother of Richard Burns. A memorial visitation will be held Friday June 8, 2012 9am-10:45am at Holy Family Church 1080 Roosevelt Rd., Chicago 60608 Memorial Mass 11am. Interment private. Bart, a Korean War veteran, prided himself a true Democrat who attended St. Ignatius College Prep and graduated form Loyola University. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls 1140 W. Jackson Blvd, Chicago 60607 would be appreciated.
