Hi Mom - in a little over three hours it will be two weeks since you left us. Everything still seems so unreal. I can not tell you the number of times I picked up the phone to call you, or something would happen and I'd say, I have to tell mom. Now I just do it in my head and through prayer. (After picking up the phone to call). Sometimes I need to get it out, so I write on here. I accidentally posted a picture of something yesterday that I took at your house for you on Facebook. It should have never made it to Facebook. Thank goodness Brittany saw it and told me so I could take it down. I'm sure you probably just laughed your little laugh and said "whatever". It still feels like yesterday I was holding your hand in the hospital and we were watching the Arch Bishop being sworn in, the day before you passed. That time with you was so special. Also, when we all sat in the hospital room and Watched Avatar. Johnny and I both commented about how fascinated you were watching it. Your eyes were so big. I will never forget that either. I love you and I know you are watching us. As you always say to me "take it a day at a time", and "God only gives you what you can take". On taking you from me, he missed the mark. I'm trying to be so strong for you, like you taught me, but I am just a mess. I love you so much, mommy

You will be missed Barb. You were such a spiritual person and you loved the blessed Mother just as you were one to Donna and John. Your name has been added to our prayer list at the Diocese of Austin and a mass will be said in your name. Will miss our long distance conversations. Ray, we pray for your strength during this time. I miss you so much already. You were such a wonderful and caring friend for 54 years. I will never forget all the crazy and happy times we had together. I know you are looking down at me and smiling. I was so proud to be your Maid of Honor when you and Ray were married. I am very blessed to have known you and you are in my prayers forever. I love you.

I am going to miss you so much. I know you are no longer suffering and for that I am grateful. Thank you for being the best mom and the strongest person I have ever known. You are with God now and I am sure one of the brightest Angels. Don't let Aunt Jean pull your year too much!! I love you!
