William "Bill" Cohen Obituary
Cohen, William "Bill" Age 70, died April 17, 2014 in Chicago and completed his role in life serving humanity. He graduated from Austin High School in 1962. He majored in Physics at DePaul University and graduated in 1967. He worked 3 years as a physicist and an engineer for the United States Navy. Then he turned to the law, went to John Marshall Law School at night and worked during the day. He became a lawyer in 1977 and proudly remained licensed until his death. He practiced criminal defense 36 years. He served with Attorney Chester Blair 26 years until Mr. Blair's retirement. Bill was a member of the Chicago Bar Association and he was deeply grateful for their Wolf Fund. Attorney Cohen is survived by special friend, Bernice Walker of Tinley Park; his daughters at heart, Clementine Linda Walker, Lisa Guthrie, Carolyn Best Anderson, Wanda Dudley; his sister-in-law, Constance Cohen and her children, Leah Labagnara, Angela Michelle Wascczyk, Laura Yousif, Steven Cohen, Anthony Cohen. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Meyer Cohen and Mildred Cohen and his brother, Charles David Cohen. Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside service Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Zion Gardens Cemetery, 6758 W. Addison Street, Chicago, IL. Arrangements by Piser Funeral Services.
