Samuel A. "Honeyclip" Mills Obituary
Mills, Samuel Antone "Honeyclip" Departed this life Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Kindred Hospital North Campus in Chicago. A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Samuel was self-employed in various entrepreneurial pursuits. Among these, he owned and operated Honey Clipper's Barber Shop and Sam's Sign Shop. Samuel's pursuit for higher education and knowledge was instrumental in him becoming a licensed Embalmer. In the early 70s, he became a devoted student of Islam and active member of the Muslim faith. He leaves a sister, Cloretha McGill of Moreno Valley, California; and son, Paul D. Freeman of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be at 8:30 a.m. and Service starts at 9 a.m. on January 22, 2013 at the Calahan Funeral Homes, 7030 South Halsted Street, Chicago IL. Interment will follow at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, Illinois.
