Robert William Lassa, Dad....
He was a good Man, a very good Man. He was a great Man, to me.
Husband to the late Lois, Father of Nine children, and Gramps to Fourteen grandchildren. Brother and Uncle, he will be dearly missed by all.
His power and his intellect were buried within his quiet and oh-so-pleasant demeanor. But make no mistake about him, he had an inner fire that burned brightly until his last breath.
He was not the life of the party, rather you did not even know he was around. But if one was wise enough and made the effort to sit down and talk to him, he would open up his heart and mind to you, forever...
Of course I did this on many occasions through the years. Usually on the phone. Like our Mom he loved to talk on the phone.
Our conversations always started with the Chicago sport's team's and went from there.
History, music, and Family matter's always made for great conversations, and I will dearly miss talking to him.
I always thanked him for giving me such a wonderful Life and he always shrugged it off, Yes, that was my Dad.:)
But I am OK with all of this, I accept that he could not wait any longer to get to Heaven to be reunited with his Wife - Lois.
Plus, he now has front-row seat's to all White Sox, Bull's and Bear's game's, forever....
Pete
