Willie Eaglin Obituary

Eaglin Jr., Willie "Bill" Made his transition February 4th, 2014. Willie was born August 16, 1941, Opelousas, Louisiana. A veteran of the United States Navy, Willie courageously served his country from 1962 - 1968. He worked for the United States Postal Service prior to joining the Chicago Police Department where he served for 28 years until retiring in 1995. Willie faithfully served as a deacon and Brotherhood Chairman at Apostolic Faith Church in Chicago. He eventually pastored Good News Church of Jesus Christ in Opelousas, Louisiana. He was actively involved in sports and deeply devoted to his family and helping others. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of his life on Thursday, February 27th, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Apostolic Faith Church in Chicago. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Willie Eaglin, Jr. Memorial Fund. Contact: Johnathan Eaglin at [email protected].
