William M. Hogan

Hogan, William M. "Bill" 78, of Estero, FL, died Thursday, January 10, 2013. Formerly of Palos Hills, IL, he had been an Estero resident for the past 12 years. He was born October 18, 1934 in Chicago, IL, the son of Michael and Margaret (née Leddin) Hogan. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a longstanding member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 2, Chicago. Early on Bill was lighting Director at WBBM TV Chicago. Later became Stage Manager for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for 28 years. Bill served on the Executive Board, and also as Vice President of Local 2, for many years, holding two Gold Cards one for 50 Plus Years, and one for Extraordinary Civil Service. Bill loved golf, boating and horse racing. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy (née Swanson) Hogan; his beloved children, Pamela Camarena of Midlothian, IL, James (Karen) Hogan of Oak Forest, IL and Karen (Greg) Bywater of Ft. Myers, FL; and his cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Jessica, Christopher, Brianne, Jim and Joshua. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
