Love of music, astronomy, an affable generosity of spirit and a deprecating sense of humor were Pete's indelible virtues. He was one of the finest individuals I have ever known and he was a gift for those who knew him.
Be bop a de bum bop, Pete.

Peter and I were best of friends for 52 years. He was the initiator of a long-running poker game with other old friends, he provided the final spark needed to fully light the astronomy fire in me, and we spent many nights under the stars, looking at the stars through our telescopes. He will be missed.
