One of the kindest people I've met in recent years - didn't seem to be a person in the world that he didn't like or was willing to befriend. The last time I saw him he came up to me after I had been away from Sports Page for a month and said, "I haven't seen you in awhile" - I thought that was so kind. You'll truly be missed, Otto.

On the surface the Bohemian and the Jewish guy (yes his words) had nothing in common, but I was proud to call him my friend. Had many long talks on life and sports, always told me no matter what do right by your kids, words he certainly lived by. He was such a great and caring guy, I will truly miss him.

Otto will be missed very much. He was such a wonderful caring person, always being there for Pat. I will miss the times we laughed and all of the times you spoke of Wrigleyville. God bless you, you will be truely missed. xo

I knew Otto for 9 years and shared a lot of baseball stories and many beers with him. Not one conversation went by without him telling me how bad he felt for his wife, Pat. He always told me "Pray for Pat." I have daily for a long time, and started praying for him also. I always called him "Uncle Otto" and I can truly say I loved the man. Now he can be at peace and hang out with Frank, Babe and Ted Williams. Sports Page will NEVER be the same.

We knew Otto from the Sports Page in Arlington Heights. Play Sinatra on the juke box and you became an immediate friend of Otto! He was also full of Blonde Jokes, I being blonde loved it, though he always apologized, he never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings. We really enjoyed seeing him when we went to the "Page". What a nice man, he will be missed.
Our thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.
Sincerely,
Candi and Moe

To all of Otto's family,
He will truely be missed by his friends but please know that you all came first and formost. Not a time went by that he didn't mention one of you in his daily conversations. It was very inspiring and showed how much love he had for all of you. We will miss him a great deal but never forget him. We proudly say, RIP my friend.
