Candreva, Michael "Mike" P. Age 87, of Beecher, IL, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. He was born on August 19, 1929 in Chicago and was the youngest son of the late Eugene and Sarah (nee Baffato) Candreva. Michael is survived by his daughter, Gail Candreva-Szwet; grandchildren, Steven Szwet, Jessica Isom, and Dustin Isom; brother, Joseph Candreva; close family friend, Pam Zerkel; and numerous family members and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sylvia Candreva; and daughter, Karen Candreva. Michael worked as an electrician for many years and enjoyed doing side jobs throughout his retirement. He also enjoyed golfing and continued to work at the park where he resided. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1947. He was an easy-going, fun-loving, devoted family man who will be deeply missed. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL, with the funeral service and military honors at 7:30 p.m. www.schroederlauer.com.
