Andersen, Marie B. (nee Blackburn), age 89, passed away March 30, 2003, beloved wife of the late Edward J. Sr.-Founder of Edward J. Andersen Funeral Home, beloved mother of William F. (Patricia) and Edward J. Jr. (Bernadette), devoted grandmother of Edward J. III (Evis), Katherine (Jeffrey) Tolomeo, Barbara (Dr. Rick) Gimbel, Ellen (Jon) Bailey, Julie and David Andersen, great-grandmother of Marisa and Jeffrey Tolomeo, Linda Andersen and Christopher Gimbel, fond sister of James (Diane) Blackburn and the late Benedict (the late Mary) Blackburn, also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends. Retired Chicago Public Schools employee of 36 years. She held positions of primary school teacher, Assistant Principal and acting Principal at the Moos Elementary School from 1951 until her retirement in 1984. She and her late husband founded the Edward J. Andersen Funeral Home in 1955. Marie was a world traveler. Funeral Thursday, 10 a.m., from the Family Funeral Home, Edward J. Dear Bill,
Sorry we were not able to come to the wake. On Wedensday morning Bette was rushed into the hospital becouse she fell we were there for 4 hours and I (Debra was exhausted sorry about your mother our thoughts and prayers are with you We know what you are going thur. Bette is fine.
