Michaelson, June R. 86, exceptional wife of 64 years of Marc, passed peacefully at home surrounded by loving family. Mother of David (Annette) and Grant (Mary) and grandmother of Daniel and Sarah and Nellie and Matthew. A lifelong skilled educator and editor, she was the founder of Hospitality Standards Ltd., one of America's most respected hotel and resort quality assurance inspection organizations, and before that, the editor-in-chief of the Mobil Travel Guides. A dedicated traveler, she had visited more than 45 countries world-wide. She has a Northwestern MA and U. of I. BA and attended Beloit College. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 15th, 3:00 p.m. at Temple Judea-Mizpah, 8610 Niles Center Rd., Skokie, IL 60077 followed by Shiva calls in the community hall until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Temple Judea-Mizpah, or the North Shore Senior Center, 161 Northfield, Rd., Northfield, IL 60093. My condolences to the family. This is a difficult time, but there is someone that you can throw your anxieties on. At 1 Peter 5:6,7 God wants us to pray to him and let him know our distress because he cares for us.
