I will remember Ida's positive spirit and gift for storytelling. She chose to look on the bright side of things.
On my last visit to Chicago with Sandy, we sat in her kitchen, ate cookies and green jello, and looked at old, family photos, listening to her memories of a long and full life. She will be remembered with a smile.

So sorry to lose Aunt Ida. She was a wonderful woman. All our love and good thoughts are with you. We know she will be sorely missed, but will remain in our hearts.

Mom was a good friend not only to her kids but also to the women we married and our children. she considered our wives as the daughters she never birthed (we being 3 boys). Don and Kay had been her best friends for the past many years while Art and I ran around the country.
Art and I were lucky enough to visit her for a couple of days about a week before she died. She was in good humor, reminding us of many of our youthful foibles and some of her own. She turned the tables on us by letting us know it is those who remain who suffer.
I hope I can have her maturity and humility when my time comes.
