Trigg Sr., Frank A retired Commander in the Chicago Police Department, departed this life on Monday, September 9, 2013. Commander Trigg was born in Chicago, Illinois to loving parents, William and Lilllan Trigg. His father, Detective William J. Trigg, Sr., had a long and illustrious career with the Chicago Police Department and was the role model that drew Frank to law enforcement. After attending Wichita State University, Frank joined the Chicago Police Department in 1972. He immediately found this to be an exciting and rewarding career that became his life's passion. He progressed through the ranks of Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and then, in 2002, to Commander of the 7th Police District. He retired from the Police Department in 2005. Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday, September 16 from 6-10 pm. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 17 from 10:00-10:30 am at Beth Eden Church, 11121 So. Loomis Ave., Chicago, Illinois. From 10:30-11:00 am there will be a St. Jude's League memorial service followed by funeral services at 11:00 am. Funeral arrangements are provided by Leak and Sons Funeral Home, 7838 So. Cottage Grove, Chicago; Illinois 60619,773-846-6567.

I remember Coaching and Managing Unit 176 (C.O.S.) softball team (1988-89) and Lt. Trigg was our Catcher. Everyone enjoyed the commaraderie whether we won or lost games. He encouraged me (a civilian/female) to start the team. Those were the days! Let us aspire to inspire before we expire! A friend indeed, Bracey

Jaki, your Kansas family sends their sympathy and prayers to you and the rest of Frank's family. My fondness memory of him is when we visited when we were young and seeing him ironing clothes, smoking a cherry scented cigar, and singing Rainy Night in Georgia. I recently purchased a cd with this song on it in the last few months and found out that I had actually purchased two different cds with that particular song on it. Oh the joy I had in memorizing that special moment. Lotts of Love N Moore, the Lott/Moore Family.
