Aardema, Dennis Bruce Mr. Dennis Bruce Aardema, age 70 years of Fremont, Michigan and formerly of Portage, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois passed away on Friday morning, February 4, 2011 at Spectrum Health - Gerber Memorial in Fremont, Michigan. He was born on January 4, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Ceasar "Gus" and Agatha (Lulkowski) Aardema. Dennis was a US Army Veteran, and he loved karaoke and singing "oldies". He had been employed by Illinois Central Railroad for 8 years, and then worked for Allied Tubing in Harvey, Illinois for 25 years until his retirement. Survivors include 2 sisters: Renee (Donald) Steffens of N. Muskegon, MI., Cheryl (R.E.) Stephens of Fremont, MI.; 3 nephews: Richard, Ken, & Scott; and 2 nieces, Sherry & Patricia. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Suggested Memorials: The Alzheimer's Association, or The American Cancer Society. I was very sorry to read about your loss. I hope you can find comfort in the words found at Isa. 33:24 which say that soon no one will say 'I am sick.' You have my deepest sympathies.
