Anderson, Brierly W. "Bri" 80, of Evanston, IL, passed away on June 1, 2013 at home with family. He was born August 13, 1932 in Highland Park, IL to the late Corliss and Catherine Anderson. Bri graduated from Amherst College in 1954, served in the military from 1954 to 1956 and then received an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He married his wife Brigitte in 1964. Bri was a financial analyst who worked at William Blair & Company in Chicago and then opened his own investment company, Brierly W. Anderson & Associates, which he operated for over 25 years. Bri served on the Board of Trustees at Beloit College, was a member of and former President of the CFA Society, was a member of the Financial Analyst Federation, was a Board member of the YMCA of Chicago, and served on various committees at Amherst College. He loved boats, sailing, antique cars, reading and woodworking. Bri is survived by his wife, Brigitte; their four children, Debbie, Erika, Becca, Brierly Jr.; and his seven grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Judy Stuart (nee Anderson) and Dun Anderson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brierly W. Anderson 1954 Scholarship Fund at Amherst College, PO Box 5000, Amherst, MA 01002 or to Grass River Natural Area, PO Box 231, Bellaire, MI 49615. A private memorial and burial will be held in Alden, Michigan. Bri always had a positive outlook on life. He had a gentle and generous soul, and Bri will be greatly missed by many. Bri - a great guy.... remember working with him at Continental Casualty Co. Also skied with Bri at Boyne Mt. and stayed with he and his parents at their Northern Michigan cottage...... RIP, dear Bri... jerry nissen, Chiang Mai, Thailand

I wish to convey my deepest sympathy but to convey the promise of life from Gods Word Isaiah 24:8 says there will be no more death and tears in Gods new kingdom (Matthew 6:9-10). Look to Gods word for solace.
