Ann, Corinne told me of Al's passing. Don't know if you remember me or not. Maybe from the Hub, my husband Warren was a floor guard there and we had an apartment across the courtyard from you and Al on Avers in the early 60's. My sympathy to you and your family. May the comfort of family and friends be your strength now and in the days ahead. I truly know what you are feeling as Warren passed away almost two years ago. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Dear Ann and Family
I was very sadened to hear about Al passing. He was quite a guy. We (Vince and I ) really loved him. I am very sorry I won't be able to be with you at this time ,but I will keep in touch often so we can reminiscence about all the fun we had. I have to wonder if maybe now Vince will have his best buddie with him. I sure hope so . My new hubby sends his sympathy also. Our love and prayer are with you. Corinne and Tom

Ann,
My fondest memories of you and Al from our days at the Hub. It was nice visiting with you, and of course, the circumstances of Al's departure made it bitter-sweet. But we had good times and good memories that are forever with us.

Uncle Al (oneshot),
It was you that showed me the way to hunt without concern for the trophy deer. The experience of being in the woods was what mattered, not the end result. Maybe that's why you always passed on the does, a lesson it's taken me some time to absorb. When I first started hunting in Michigan in 1992, it was expected that I get a shot at least. You showed me how to enjoy the quiet serenity of the forest and to appreciate the solitude it offered. It's been 13 years of good times in the northwoods and a pastime I've been able to share with my own sons. Hunting season is going to be diminished by your absence but you will never be far from my thoughts whenever I'm in the woods. Thanks for everything from quality shooting tips to proper martini instruction.
