Bolger, Thomas "Tom" - Chicago
Bolger, Thomas Lees ("Tom") Passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in Munster, Indiana on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the age of 72. Tom was born on August 9, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Blanche Lees. He graduated from North Hills High School and, later, from his beloved alma mater, Penn State University. He went on to a successful career at U.S. Steel where he was afforded the opportunity to travel the world as the international treasurer, and which eventually relocated him and his family to Chicago. In 2013, Tom retired from Jupiter Aluminum and had just begun to fully enjoy the benefits of a life of hard work and dedication. Those who loved him knew him as a sports fan, beer-, music-, and animal lover, and the man with all the answers. And if you think you didn't know him, you did, he was the man who ran daily through the neighborhood or seen walking his "girls," wire hair fox terriers, Sadie and Alice. He was taken from us too soon and will be greatly missed. Tom issurvived by his loving wife, Cindy, two children, Rebecca Bolger (Dan Raker) and Steven Bolger (Jennifer), and two stepchildren, Tim Hodges and Lisa Hodges-Casey (Mike Casey), and seven grandchildren, Mason, Travis, Dylan, Taylor, Emma, Simon and Julia. A memorial visitation and prayer service will be held at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015. Memorials may be made in Tom's name to the Humane Society Calumet Area at hscalumet.org or 219-922-3811.
