Alderson, Billy Keith - Chicago  
Alderson, Billy Keith BILLY KEITH ALDERSON affectionately known as "Pops" peacefully passed away on February 2, 2016 after a long and debilitating illness. BILL worked for the Chicago Board of Education from 1972 until he suffered a massive stroke in 1996. At the time of his early retirement, he was the Assistant Principal at Kershaw Elementary School in Chicago. He previously worked at Scanlon School (later named Songai School), and Marcus Garvey School, both also in the Chicago Area. BILL was avid about sports with basketball being his true love. In high school he was All State. He was a basketball coach at Simeon High School for 17 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, Yvonne, his loving and very devoted wife of 39 years, his children, Billye Lynne (Horace), Marcus Wesley (Deloris), his stepdaughter, Theresa Lynn (Al), four brothers, Harold (Wilma), Carson (Nancy), Ira John (Beverly), Gary, and six sisters, Mattie, Barbara, Patricia, Carol (John), Judy, Connie (Arthur, Jr.), thirteen grandchildren, Marque (Septima), Kandyce (Michael), Krystal (Clinton), Gerald III "Jay" (Jacqueline),Terrell (Jerrhonda), Horace III "Trey", Danielle, Shaina, Kymber, Bria, Marcus Keith, Kailyn, Cassia, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. BILLY KEITH ALDERSON made a difference in the many lives he touched and his presence will truly be missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Leak and Sons Funeral Home, 18400 Pulaski Road, Country Club Hills, IL 60478. (708-206-0860).
