Doumouras, William - Des Plaines  
Doumouras, William "Bill Olympic" Passed away into God's hands Friday, February 5, 2016. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Nafpliotis); loving father of James (Gina) and Nick (Joanne); proud grandfather of William, Nicholas and Annie; dear brother of 9 siblings; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews here and in Greece. Mr. Doumouras was born in Kotilion, Arcadias, Greece. He proudly served in the Hellenic Air Force from 1956-1958 and upon completion of his military service he met, fell in love and married Helen Nafpliotis on January 28, 1958. Bill moved, with his wife, Helen, to Chicago where he started and grew his business, Olympic Wholesale Produce in 1960. Mr. Doumouras eventually retired from business in 2002. Visitation Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH-CORCORAN Funeral Home, 1104 Waukegan Rd., Glenview. Family and friends will meet Tuesday morning at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 W. Fornek, Frank - Lockport  
Fornek, Frank S. Age 74, late of Lockport, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 7, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicago, he lived in Lockport in the Lago Vista Community for the past eight years. Retired from Ameritech and Tellabs after many years of service. A proud United States Army Veteran. Member of St. Dennis Church, Lockport, the Lago Vista Veterans Club, Lockport American Legion John Olson Post #18 and the Korean War Veterans Chapter 23. An avid reader, he loved to travel, but most of all cherished spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Catherine (Brudzisz) Fornek; a brother, Daniel (Carol) Fornek and brother-in-law, Anthony Fernandez. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Barb (Richkus) Fornek; 2 devoted children, Andrew (Felicia) Fornek of Gilbert, AZ and Amy (Steve) Charny of Naperville; his grandchildren, Alexandra and Matthew Fornek and Emily and Becca Charny; a sister, Joan Fernandez; sisters-in-law, Judy Richkus, Betty Richkus and Marge (Ray) Paskauskas; five nieces and one nephew also survive. Gass, Paul Eugene 80, of Anderson, passed away January 29, 2016 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on September 9, 1935 in Harrisburg, Illinois. He retired as a Tool and Die Maker for Illinois Tool Works. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Lemont, IL and attended locally at Park Place Church of God in Anderson.
