Beloved son of the late John and the late Pearl Wierzbinski (nee Kaminski); loving brother of Dorothy (late Robert) Greene, John Jr., and the late Raymond Wierzbinski; fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Veteran of the US Army WWII and recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Retired employee of Butternut Bread and former owner of John's Food Store 87th Kingston. Joe was a member of St. Bronislava Church Holy Name Society and Senior Citizens Club. Member of Illiana American Legion Post #220. Visitation Monday 3-8 pm. Funeral Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 9:15 am from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago to St. Bronislava Church. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am.
