Sopata, Dorothy T. (nee Patula) Lemont, IL, December 1, 2017. Age 88. Devoted wife of the late Stanley Sopata; loving mother of Steven (Dawn), David (Janeen), and Daniel (LouAnn) Sopata; cherished grandmother of Steven, Jennifer, and Matthew Sopata and great-grandmother of Steven J. and Skylyn Sopata. Dorothy is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Funeral services Thursday 10:30 a.m. from the Petkus Lemont Funeral Home, 12401 S. Archer Ave. (at Derby Rd.), Lemont. To Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Dorothy was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Altar and Rosary Society. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Offerings in Dorothy's name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (D.A.V.) and will be deeply appreciated. We are so very sorry to see that Dorothy passed away. I was just writing her Christmas card and went to double check her address and saw the obit. Our deepest sympathies. Rich and Judy, old Notre Dame neighbors.
