Smierciak, John M. Age 64, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Hines V.A. Hospital, late of Romeoville, formerly of Chicago. Vietnam War Veteran serving US Navy 1969 to 1972. He is survived by hi loving wife, Donna "Honey" Smierciak; children, Michael Smierciak and Laurie (fiancée Dennis O'Brien) Smierciak; granddaughter, Tara Kelly; brothers, Steven, Vincent (Jeanette) and Paul (Karen) Smierciak; a cousin, Diane (Harry) Trocki; also his loyal pets, Bandit, Madison and Belle. He was preceded in death by parents, Chester and Cecelia Smierciak. Visitation Wednesday 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Anderson Memorial Chapel, 606 Town Hall Dr. in Romeoville. Funeral Thursday, October 10, 2013 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Andrew Catholic Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
