Lester was our Boy Scout master back in the late 60's. Here I am thinking about him in 2020. Just goes to show you how he touched people lives and he is still remembered 50+ years later. Such a good person. He is in good hands now.

I have known Lester Busse as "Les" growing up at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was always the nice man with blue eyes and a smile who greeted people as they came in to church. He was quick with a greeting and a hand shake as he passed out the church programs. I will remember him with a smile. I want to express my sincere condolences to his family. I wish he could have known what an impact he has made in my life. He was yet another quiet angel God shared with us. Less on a Sunday at church was as much a given as the sun rising. Thank you for more than you know Less. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." - Thomas Campbell

During the 5+ years that I served Immanuel congregation as their pastor, Lester was an inspiration to me because he was always willing to do whatever little "job" he could to help the worship service flow smoothly. "Rest eternal grant him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him."

It was a joy to have known Lester, during the time I worked as the Life Enrichment Director at Providence South Holland. I enjoyed our many conversations and Lesters many memories of his life experiences. He was a very dedicated and loving brother to his sister Dorothy, and will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace my friend. Sally Rock
