(CFD) Hoff; dear brother of caring sister Susan (Andrew, CFD Ret) O'Donnell, the late Raymond (CFD Ret) (Barbara Bogdan), Edward (Cheryl) Hoff, Robert (CFD Ret) (C.S.F.D.) (Joyce) Hoff, and the late Thomas Hoff; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services Friday 9:30 a.m. at the Petkus Lemont Funeral Home, 12401 S. Archer Ave., (at Derby Rd.), Lemont to St. Patrick Church, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Michael was a member of Hometown-Murray VFW Post #9773, Evergreen Park American Legion Post #854 and the Disabled American Veterans of Illinois Chapter #47. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Offerings in Michael's name to the Wounded Warrior Project will be deeply appreciated. I remember Mike well. He hung out at the firehouse on Pulaski, near Ford City. He attended the FCCC pot luck dinners years ago, too. My mother began choking on a piece of meat and Mike sprang into action. He saved her life that day, and we were forever grateful. May he rest in Peace!
