I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. I have been his mail carrier for many years and had gotten to know him over the years. He was a great man and inspired me every time I talked to him. He had such a strong will and huge heart. His whole family is in my thoughts and prayers. I was lucky to know him. I will miss your unbelievable wisdom. Rest in peace George

My sincere condolences to the Smeja family on the passing of George. He and Gloria touched many lives with their faith in Jesus Christ, and the way they lived their faith, both personally and through their business associations. It was a privilege to be able to know and work with George and Gloria. I know that Mike, Rock and the rest of the family will carry on the tradition of personal faith and professional integrity.

So sorry to hear of my Uncle Skip's passing. As the oldest of his siblings, he was truly the Trailblazer of the Smeja clan and someone the whole family could be proud of. And oh the stories he could tell! Happy to know that he is now at peace with Auntie Gloria. Mike & Danny, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful families. I am so very proud of you both.
Love, Corky

George had incredible gifts that he turned into profitable businesses. He employed many folk in McHenry County helping them achieve a better life. George also shared his faith in Jesus Christ which brought those who knew him into a new relationship with God. George and his wife Gloria were true testaments to a loving successful marriage. They were also testaments to others that one can use God given skills and resources to make their community, business and family better because they lived. Both are truly missed. Kay R.
