Mrs. Golllinger and Steven,
Larry Zbella called to inform me of Jim's death. Larry and Jim worked for me on the midnight watch in the 9th District and they were a dedicated team. Jim was an outstanding man! He was dedicated first to you, his family, and then to us, his police partners. He spoke often of you, Lucy and Steve and every time he requested time off he would proudly mention plans he had of being with you. We will all will miss him. My condolences to you. I am very sorry for your loss of this great husband and father.

I'm a retired Captain from the 9th district. Jim was my lock-up keeper for a very long time. I never worried about a thing when he was back there. I trusted him completely. But, more than an outstanding lock-up keeper, he was a truly wonderful man. He was always enthusiastic and bright and funny and engaging. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He was a good man.
