Decker Sr., Ronald John Age 75, U.S. Navy Veteran, late of Monee formerly of Dolton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 24, 2013. He was born on March 22, 1938 in Chicago to the late Raymond and Louise Decker. Loving husband of 51 years to his beautiful wife Barbara (nee King). Caring and loving dad of Richard (Jen) Decker, Pamela (Tom) Salutric, and preceded in death by his son Ronald (Beverly) Decker, Jr. Proud and supportive grandfather of Matthew, David, Amber, Carly, Elizabeth, Trevor, Austin, and Logan. Dear brother of Robert (Christine) Decker, Kay (late Russ) Brennan, and Margaret (Mark) Wilcox. Favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews. Wonderful cousin and friend to all that knew him. His favorite thing to do was to watch his grandkids play sports, he was the biggest fan in the stands. Retired millwright with over 30 years of dedicated service. Former Assistant Scoutmaster for many years of Dolton Troop #374. Life member of the Dolton Izaak Walton League and avid golfer. Visitation Wednesday, August 28th, from 2-8 p.m. at Thornridge Funeral Home (Janusz Family Funeral Service), 14318 S. LaGrange Rd. (Northbound Traffic: U-Turn permitted at 143rd St.),Orland Park. Deepst Sympathy too the Decker Family. I only knew Ron for such a short time, but he was a great Guy and Friend. May God watch over the rest of his family and give them Peace.

DEAR BARB AND FAMILY: WE ARE SO SORRY ABOUT RON'S PASSING WE HAVE ONLY KNOWN YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ABOUT 3 YEARS BUT ENJOYED THE TIMES WE HAD TOGETHER WITH YOU AND RON AT BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND SPORTS AND SCHOOL FUNCTIONS OF AUSTIN AND LOGAN. RON WAS A GREAT GUY AND FRIEND. WE ARE OFFERING OUR DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. GOD WILL TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM.
