Ceaser Sr., Norrell The seventh child of the late Arter and Carrie Ceaser, was born on August 10, 1933 in Lexington, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his six siblings. His parents instilled in him discipline, perseverance, a strong work ethic, a kind demeanor, Christian values, and a love of God and family. Norrell was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Ruby Lenora Tines. Their union was blessed with eleven children. In 2017, the couple celebrated 65 years of marriage. He was a hard-working family man dedicated to taking care of his family. He worked numerous jobs and retired from General Electric after 26 years of service. Norrell was a strong disciplinarian, who taught his children to work hard, but made sure each one knew that they were loved. He was a patient, kind, and loving, encouraging others to take advantage of the opportunities life presented them. Norrell Ceaser Sr. passed away peacefully at Advocate Christ Medical Center on December 26, 2017 in Oaklawn, Illinois at the age of 84 years old, surrounded by his beloved family. Norrell is survived by his beloved wife Ruby, eleven children, twenty-seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and former co-workers. Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at A.A. Rayner Funeral Home, 318 East 71stSt, Chicago, IL. The Wake is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Living Word Christian Center, 7600 West Roosevelt Road, Forest Park, IL. The Funeral is from 11:00 a.m. to Noon. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Norrell's life and the enormous impact he had on the world through establishing a powerful legacy.
