Colette helped several extended family members in legal matters. She did a thorough job in both cases. We want to honor her memory with a donation to the Needy Family Fund....that seems so fitting for all that she did for others.

Dear Bailey Family, My most sincere sympathy for your loss. I got to know Colette during my stint in the PCBA skit committee. She was not only a wonderful person, but a lawyer who represented the best about the profession. Many young people say that it was "To Kill a Mockingbird" that inspired them to seek a career in the law. I don't know what inspired Colette, but I do know that her career as a lawyer was truly a testament to Atticus Finch. She was always there for the underdog. If Colette is not safe in heaven, then nobody is going. She practiced her faith everyday. One of the most dedicated lawyers I have ever known.

I am so sorry for your loss. Colette is one of my most favorite people. She asked me to join the Junior League & then I met my husband at a Junior League event. We joked that it was all her fault that I met such a great guy. She was so dedicated with her time & talents to the Junior League & volunteering many, many hours to the projects to improve the community. Her efforts made an impact for all. She was always happy & had a great attitude, great stories, great one liners! I am glad to have so many wonderful memories of her!

It saddened me to see Colette's obit in the paper. We were not friends, merely acquaintances volunteering with WTVP, our local PBS affiliate. Her attitude and sense of humor were only surpassed by her intellect; what a marvelous person she was. My sincere condolences.

Colette will be missed by me so much for her sunny disposition in the context of the human trauma associated with the felony courts. She was kind to me when I was a young prosecutor (and didn't need to be) and I've never forgotten that. RIP
