Army Air Corps mechanic served in Naples and Piza, Italy, receiving a Bronze Service Star for the Rhineland Campaign in Northern France. River Grove Moose Lodge member and a contributor for their newsletter, ushered at St. Giles Catholic Church in Oak Park; a partner at Lorraine Motors Car Dealership in Wheaton, Illinois. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (nee Tobin); brother of the late Frank; fond uncle of Kathleen Hartigan, Judge Russell Hartigan (Susan), Larry Tobin (Sharon); companion to Norma Swanson; caregiver, Neil Sumalpong; great-uncle of Michael Hartigan, Brian Hartigan (Katie), Kelly Hartigan Tybor (Adam), the late Maureen Tobin Hamm, Brian Tobin (Amber) Kristin Tobin Lomas (Ian); and great-great-uncle of eight. Funeral Saturday, February 15th at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at PETERSON-BASSI CHAPELS, 6938 West North Ave., Chicago. Interment Private.
