Ahrenhold, Joanne Caryle Of Church Hill, MD, died on July 20, 2013 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. She was 81. She was born on December 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie Marie (Seifert) Eiserer. She was a graduate of Lake View High School and took courses at Northwestern University. Mrs. Ahrenhold worked at Northwestern School of Dentistry and Merrill Lynch in Chicago. On October 6, 1956, she married Robert H. Ahrenhold and started their family in South Holland Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. She was active with both Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the women's club, St. Paul's PTA, and was very active in her community. Her husband predeceased her on May 3, 2003 and she moved to Church Hill, MD in 2005. Mrs. Ahrenhold enjoyed her lake home on Paw Paw Lake in Michigan, cooking, baking, shopping, but mostly being with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Todd and her husband Gregg of Sudlersville, MD and Ellen Marquardt and her husband Mark of Bel Air, MD; a son, Robert Ahrenhold, Jr. of Denmark, along with her grandchildren, Alexa, Luke, Paige, and Abbey. Services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chestertown at 1:00 PM where relatives and friends may visit with the family from 12:00-1:00.
