Buchholz, Paul Frederick 82, of Highland Park, passed away July 7, 2013. U.S. Army Veteran. Born October 13, 1930 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Graduate of Central Michigan University and University of Michigan. Teacher, Principal, Superintendent of Schools in Highland Park. Avid gardener, golfer and handyman. A friend to all, his charisma and smile lit up a room. A warrior hero in his approach to life. Beloved husband of Maureen for 45 years; loving father of Ann Crilly, Brenda Brainerd, Shoshana Buchholz-Miller (Victor); cherished grandfather of Megan, Ryan, Annabel, Atticus and Tess; much loved brother of Richard and Sylvia. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10 am at Kelley & Spalding Funeral Home, 1787 Deerfield Road, Highland Park, IL. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highland Park District 112 Foundation (www.112foundation.org) or Highland Park Rotary Club (www.highlandparkrotary.org).
