Nelson, Norman Edward 79, longtime resident of Tinley Park passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 yrs., Joann B. Nelson nee Brunsell, son: Steve (Kathy) Nelson of Grayslake, and granddaughters: Jessica and Kelsey. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Jeanne B. McKalip. Born to Edward Walter Peter Nelson and Sylvia Theodora nee Hostad and raised on Southside of Chicago. Mr. Nelson served 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for IBM for 38 years, retiring as an instructor. Mr. Nelson was a member of American Legion Post 615, Tinley Park. Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Weds., April 21, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Noon, Heartland Memorial Center, 7151 183rd St., Tinley Park, IL. We are very sad to hear of Norman's passing from Al Carstens. We remember the dinnners and times we had with you folks. More particularly the slide presentations at Fred Phillips at Home wood. Many memories we all have.
