David, you were like a Father to me when I worked for you and Larry at the Paxton Hotel in Chicago. Many times you invited me to your home and gave me food and clothing when I was down and out. I can never repay your kindness and generosity, you had the best Family ever, and always had a smile and a kind word for me!! There is truly a special place in Heaven for you.

So sorry to learn that Cousin David passed away last year. I saw him several years ago at the service for my late sister Gail Ann Sonshine Lampert. Despite his mobility difficulty, David joined us and comforted my mother, Phyllis Sonshine. I will always remember his love and genuine concern for her well-being. May God bless all of his children and grandchildren, and may the memory of his love comfort you all throughout your lifetimes.

Dear Yablong family,
David always will be remembered as a sweet, caring, and loving man for his, family, friends and country. Despite his mobility challenges, David honored his fellow veterans in the Annual Wilmette parade. Since moving to Wilmette recently, it was a real treat to witness David's participation beyond viewing his parade photograph in the local newspaper. He was a "regular guy" who enthusiastically discussed a wide range of local, national and sports issues. Most importantly, always asking "how are you doing?" Your family has a wealth of cherished memories to remain strong during this difficult period. Be well,
