For years I co-hosted a drive-time Chicago radio show called "Perspectives on our Heritage" on WJJG with the late- great patriot Rick Biesada, under my moniker of "The Fluffy Bunny". Tony was a frequent guest as we did all we could to promote "The Illinois Freedom Run", "Toys for Tots" and of course the "Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial".

Being who was, Tony always choked out having to call me Fluffy on the airwaves, but he got the joke.

After a show Tony and I would often discus business ideas, an often forgotten aspect of Tony was his entrepreneurial zeal. Tony was an optimistic capitalist and saw opportunity in everything. To Tony every empty building, was an opportunity. We often reviewed projects we were entertaining and just enjoyed chatting with a kindred spirit who saw this as the greatest nation on earth, on that afforded opportunity to all who embraced capitalism and freedom. To Tony it was simply a matter of perspective, energy, and hard work.

Tony was a great man, a true patriot, with a big and generous heart, a man who personified the best of America.

R.I.P.
Wow, where have the years gone?
Tony would have been frequently checking the weather conditions, with hope the Illinois River would not rise and cancel another Freedom Run.
This year however, it is cancelled due to COVID 19.
My thanks to all who are involved in this ongoing crisis, and a hope of a 2021 Freedom Run.
As Tony often would say, "God Bless America."
Be well, be safe.

Thinking of Tony today. Saddened by his loss yet comforted by the memory of him. I was truly honored to have known him and eternally honored to have been in the Color Guard from Midlothian American Legion Post 691 that gave him a twenty one gun SALUTE. God bless his soul.

I was asked to give my fondest memory of Tony. Where do I start. There are soooooo many stories. I think my fondest moment with Tony was when I was on my way to the wall during the construction and it was getting close to the unveiling date and we still didn't have a name for the wall. I was on the phone with Tony and we were throwing names around and I came up with the Middle East Conflicts Memorial Wall and Tony being Tony said I like the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial and we both agreed that would be the name of the wall. It was an honor to be part of the naming of the wall. There are so many more memories that I could probably write a book. I feel I owe to Tony to complete his mission. I am going to run for President of the Freedom Run in the next election and bring back the ways Tony had it before we lost him. No one will ever have his passion.

I miss you my friend! I could always count on a call from you on June 6th just to let me know you hadn't forgotten and would always remember Brian's sacrifice. As you are thanking him in person today, I picture him giving you a hug, a smile, and letting you know how much he appreciated you checking in on me from time to time since he couldn't be here. You live on in our hearts just as Brian does, but the pain of the loss is overwhelming again today as I sit here alone and in silence thinking about you guys. Wish you and Brian would just come and get me.

My heart aches for you, and for the loss of Tony. He told me once in one of our rare serious conversations that he felt he was doing the work of God, and in doing that he was accomplishing his purpose in this world. Now that causes me to think about a Matthew 25:23 from the Bible. "Well done, my good and faithful servant." The surrounding context gives one much to consider, and every believer of Jesus hopes to hear those very words when they finally see Him face to face. I know that Tony did, along with the cheers of the multitude of men who went before him as victims of war, but servants who also heard "well done" when they were taken home to heaven. Just wanted you to know that. Truly, RIP my nephew...we will meet again one day! "Auntie" Marilynn

I had the opportunity to meet Tony and Gerry many times at their meetings and events on behalf of my chapter of ABATE. His love and dedication to make sure that our men and women in uniform were treated respectfully and honorably is unmatched.
I was bedridden when I heard the sad news of his passing. All I could see in my mind's eye was all of those men & women that he wanted to honor waiting to greet him on the other side and thank him for what he did with the founding of the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial and the Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run to that Wall. Not necessarily for them but for their families and friends to have somewhere to gather to see them honored. It's not why Tony did it but he would have been humbled. An amazing man. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet him.
My deepest condolences to his family. There are no words to lessen your pain.
Godspeed Sir.

I send my deepest condolences to the Cutrano family and friends. God always takes the good ones first.

God must have been thinking heaven was just a bit too peaceful and thought it would be nice to hear the roar of a motorcycles loud pipes rumble by from time to time. Lots of people say to "rest in peace" but you can't, your job here is done but now you'll need to get everything ready for us when we get there, then we will all go for a ride in the clouds together. When I hear the thunder, I will look up and know it's you passing by.

Not how did he die, but how did he live?
Not what did he gain, but what did he give?
These are the units to measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.
Not, what was his church, nor what was his creed?
But had he befriended those really in need?
Was he ever ready, with word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?
Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when he passed away.

God Bless you and your family Tony Cutrano

To the Cutrano Family,

Our deepest sympathy to your family. Growing up and going to school together in Palos Hills, we will always be connected (the “AA Stagg Group.”) Tony has accomplished so much and touched so many lives. Since he did his job well here on earth, he has been assigned to do a bigger job up above (watch over his family and friends). We'll miss seeing him in person, but his spirit will live on forever! FOREVER YOUNG TONY! AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE!
